This is a short story that ends with a cliffhanger. I mean, dang it, I was really just getting into it and wanted to know more about them and bam! It. Is. Over. Gah! Not nice!

Kelsey has always been the girl to do the right thing. She did what her father wanted her to do. She almost married who her father wanted her to marry, even though the real spark of passion wasn't there and her best friend didn't like him. She accidentally found her groom to be in a very inappropriate act with another woman. She was bold enough to get some dignity back on her supposed wedding day. You have got to read that part. Amen, sister! So, she goes to Dreara and rents a cottage to get away from everything and figure out what she wants to do in life.

Shaun is an enigma. He is from the US and keeps to himself and rents the cottage next to Kelsey. He has a reputation for bedding every woman in town. But somehow, I didn't believe it. He keeps to himself and continues to write his books.

Kelsey and Shaun become friends and both feel chemistry but do not act on it. Shaun, one day at a farmer's market, points out that everyone was watching them and kisses her to give everyone something to talk about. It clearly threw them both off track.

When you think you are about to learn more about Shaun's life, the book ends. There is the not nice part. I have to wait to find out more about Shaun and see if they can have a relationship together. And I really want to see them together in a relationship where one helps the other. They make a good fit for each other. I want them to find their redemptions and peace they both seek.

But, I can preorder the next book at Amazon. Which I did!

To Live Again by Dori Lavelle is the first book in her new series, Learning to Live Again.

Set in Ireland, the quaint and magical land of love, leprechauns and rainbows (okay, fine, maybe not the leprechauns), we meet some very interesting characters, most importantly though is Kelsey and Shaun.

Kelsey is from a nearby town and is desperate to get away from the scandal that surrounded her, her ex-fiancee, and her father. She needs a break and finds it in the town of Dreara.

Shaun is a Serendipity native. Those familiar with Dori's past stories will remember that Serendipity is the town where the Moments in Time series took place. He has demons in his past and he is in Dreara to get away from them. No one there knows his dark secrets and the guilt he carries.

In renting the cottage next door to Shaun, Kelsey has started both of their lives down a different path from what they saw for themselves. It's rocky, and rough but if this first book is any indication, it will be a beautiful scenic ride. Very eagerly awaiting the next installment... To Love Again
To Live Again brings us into the world of Kelsey O'Neil, the woman smart enough to walk away from the wrong man, and Shaun Brannon, a man with secrets that he would rather not share. Ms. Lavelle has the most incredible ability to write believable characters and a talent for story development. The weaving of her current series, Learning to Live Again, and characters from her previous series, A Moment in Time, left me feeling a connection to Kelsey and Shaun that goes so much deeper than a first novel. I managed to finish To Live Again with tears streaming down my face as my heart was breaking. Now waiting until To Love Again is released is going to prove to be pure torture!

I highly recommend To Live Again, Dori Lavelle's first book in her new series, Learning to Live Again and give is five steaming cups of Room With Books coffee!

I loved this book to start. Books that are in small towns in Ireland, England and Scotland delight me. This is well written and would have received a five star if I would not have felt I was taken advantage of by the publisher by it not being a complete novel.
WOW! Breathtaking..

Kelsey O’Neil did not think the moment she open a hotel door would change her life forever but it did. It open her eyes! She needed a new start a do over. She had to find herself no matter who she hurt on the way there.

Was Craig who he said he was?

Was Delia really her Best friend?

Well her Dad ever forgive her?

Could she trust people anymore?

The story start in Dreara a cozy little town only few hour drive from Saulery. Place where Kelsey will call home. Living in a little small cottage overlooking the sea. Kelsey never though she would feel like she was home.

She meet Shaun a mysterious man that live right next door.

He tall with chestnut hair, broad shoulders, and handsome face. In a word, gorgeous. But she get this feeling she should stay away from him.

Shaun came to Dreara to write a book and to get away from his life. He also running away from his previous life but for a whole different reason.

Can he move on from what happen?

Will people forgive him?

Does he deserved a new life?

When Kelsey and Shaun meet face to face they know that it trouble because they can’t get each other off their minds.

Can two different people build a friendship?

Well this friendship end with to broken souls?

This book is about overcoming obstacles and fears. Trying something new, and letting some new feelings in. Can’t wait until the second book. (To Love Again).
